Jose Andres Lunch Menu, National Gallery of Art Garden Cafe

June 4, 2012

To complement Joan Miró: The Ladder of Escape at the National Gallery of Art, José Andrés designed a Catalan menu that will temporarily salve your Barcenola wanderlust. Highlights: empedrat de mongetes (white bean salad with sherry dressing), escalivada catalana (roasted eggplant, red pepper, onions) and sopa freda de cireres de Santa Coloma de Cervelló (cold cherry and tomato soup). For dessert, crema catalana (caramelized custard) is refreshingly lemony.

Go to see the art. Go to eat.

I’ve never eaten at the museum before but I always oooh and ahhh at the people who are when I walk past them! I’ve heard great things about the food 🙂
