Thankful Thursday

March 3, 2011

There’s a lot to be thankful for this week so let’s get right to it.

Moving out of my bedbug-infested apartment, having family to stay with for a month, possibly completing an application for my next apartment today — this week has been crazy but I am so thankful to have this much support. I can’t imagine what I would have done without family to lean on. Okay, let’s be honest: if my family didn’t live nearby, I would have found a place to live and been fine, but having extra time to apartment-hunt and save some money has been a nice luxury.

As for that prospective new apartment, well, I’m going by after work to fill out an application so I’ll be thankful if it’s accepted and the apartment is as nice as it’s been described. The management company says I can’t see the apartment before signing a lease because it’s currently occupied — a little worrying, right? — but they swore up and down that it has the same features and amenities as the model. Fingers crossed! 😀

What else am I thankful for this week?

– The chance to finally eat at Founding Farmers last night. I’m sorting through photos now and prepping an upcoming post.

– Having a successful blood donation. Easy, fast and pain-free.

– The feeling of spring in the air.

– Discovering that I actually like real danishes.

– Deciding to schedule my gym time around ‘Oprah’ — she really sucks you in and makes the time fly! 😉

What are you thankful for this week?

OMG I looooove Founding Farmers! It was our office’s go-to spot for lunch when we were at our old location. We miss it so much now that we are far away!

It was my first time and I was so psyched — wanted to check it out since it opened.

Can’t wait to hear about Founding Farmers! My mom is coming next weekend and I emailed her the menu last night to convince her we need to go while she’s here!

Be sure to make a reservation — it was packed even at 8 on a Wednesday night!

I’ve never given blood before and I know I really should after having gone through surgery and being in the hospital. I like that you posted the pictures through the process 🙂 I’m thankful that I’m going to move to a brand new, awesome and totally renovated apartment in April, and will be sharing it with my guy!
