Thankful Thursday

October 28, 2010

Before we get to Thankful Thursday, let’s find out which was the lie in my Two Truths and a Lie game last night.

Drumroll…

McDonald’s! While I do love their soft serve cones, I can’t imagine stopping by for dinner. If I’m feeling especially tired and lazy, you know I’m heading straight for the falafel. 😉

I’m also embarrassed (or proud) that people think I wouldn’t watch ‘Entertainment Tonight’ but while I do flip back and forth between that and ‘Jeopardy,’ I can’t break the habit. 😳 You never know when breaking celebrity news will strike! 😉

Moving on to…

I’m thankful to be able to pick up my CSA basket this week, since last week was a wash. It’s been a bleak week for produce at my casa.

I’m thankful that ‘Glee’ become a reference point for the Illinois gubernatorial race — you must watch this campaign ad! (thanks to Lauren)

I’m thankful for fun end-of-the-week activities at work: a potluck today (I made cinnamon-cranberry raisin quinoa!) and a Halloween party with trick-or-treating tomorrow.

I’m thankful to have a three-day weekend, with Monday off to hang out with my aunt visiting from Texas — check out her gorgeous wood products on Etsy.

I’m thankful for my new down comforter, despite it being hot and humid outside this week. I’ll be even more thankful when winter hits!

I’m thankful to have really fun weekend plans — a sisterly bonding night tomorrow and Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity on Saturday. Just need to think of a rally sign…

I’m thankful for sweet potatoes. And butternut & acorn squash. Pretty much all orange fall foods that are easy to cook and fill me up happily.

What are you thankful for today?

I’m thankful for my weekend plans, as well! My boyfriend and I are meeting halfway in West Virginia on Saturday – I can’t wait to see him 🙂

I’m a little embarrassed about my tv picks as well… I can’t help my addiction to E! News!
